ABS-CBN News on September 9, 2011 released the following:
“MANILA, Philippines – Six individuals who pretended to be members of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol) were arrested at the Mactan-Cebu international Airport.
The suspects were identified as Joerib Comendador, Julia Etorma, Edwin Adolacion, Genario Estoque, Tirso Penyaflor and Asher Picondo.
The Aviation Security Group said the suspects sought a temporary pass from the airport, saying they had a surveillance mission.
The airport police, however, intercepted them after finding out that they were carrying firearms.
They also found out that the supposed letter order from Camp Eldridge in Los Baños, Laguna was fake. – ANC”
